The new SmartBox converter has all the features of the most popular units,
but has several improvement over the previous models.  We have even
incorporated the latest fashion in shape and color.  The new unit is made in
a stylish rounded-corner case, in silver color, and is printed with gold
color labels.  The standard black case
and red LED display, has been replaced with a modern silver color case and
green LED display.  It is designed to operate cooler than the older models,
to extend its expected life cycle and eliminate returns due to overheating.
The SmartBox uses a sophisticated microprocessor chip to process all its
control and tuning functions, thus achieving the highest degree of accuracy,
stability and processing speed.  It even uses the latest
Digital TADC Tuner to achieve the brightest color and a crisp sound, for
every channel over its extended 900 Mhz spectrum.  It has, of course,
separate RCA jacks for Video as well as Left and Right Audio outputs, and its
full-feature remote control has an extended range of 8 meters (approximately
27 feet!).  The new SmartBox incorporates a new Video Bypass technology, that
allows the unit to maintain and maximize picture
quality by employing its decoder circuitry only for those channels that
require it, while automatically dropping this circuitry when a new channel is
selected.  And, for those who like the convenience of a locked decoder
system, we have designed a new switching mechanism that overrides the Video
Bypass function, if so desired.
